Helen Retallic

Qualifications: BSc (Hons) Psychology, PGDip Mental Health Studies, Strala Yoga 200+ hour training certification, Strala Advanced Leadership 100+ hour training, 50+ hour Rainbow Kids yoga teacher training.

Helen is passionate about mental health, wellbeing, movement and mediation. She qualified as a Mental Health Practitioner in 2010 and has worked in a range of areas throughout the NHS. Her main role has been within secure services implementing recovery and wellness programmes to people with enduring and chronic mental health problems. Helen understands the complexities of mental wellbeing and the importance of taking responsibility for both physical and mental health. Throughout her work in the NHS she has extensive experience in how to sit with people during their difficulties when they often have little hope and limited choices for wellbeing. Since coming out of the NHS Helen trained as a yoga guide and now works to help people find a practice that enhances their mental and physical wellbeing on a personal level.

Helen found yoga as a tool to help relax whilst undergoing fertility treatment and later trained in Strala Yoga in 2015. Yoga was one change of many to her own lifestyle and after a failed IVF cycle she fell pregnant with her first daughter and has since had two girls naturally. With her professional and personal experience, she wants to help empower people to live in a way that help them reduce stress and maximise wellbeing through breath work, movement and mediation. Helen offers adult classes and mixed age classes to welcome in an element of play, fun and bring the benefits of yoga and mindfulness to all ages.

Outside of the yoga studio you will find Helen in the gym, doing the school run or outside having long walks with her family, usually at the beach.
