TRE® Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises
Qualifications: BSc (Hons) Experimental Psychology, MSc, Diploma in Personal Training, Diploma in Cognitive Hypnotherapy, Certified TRE Provider
Katherine worked as a personal trainer and health writer for 12 years before discovering TRE. It had such a big impact on her – both physically and mentally – that she decided to become a practitioner and trained with the TRE College in London. She is the author of Oh Sugar! and four other pocket books on health and wellbeing.
“The reason I love TRE is because it’s much more than a stress-relief technique. It switches off the fight/flight/freeze response, which relieves anxiety, muscle tension, and sleep and digestive issues (e.g. IBS). But it also wakes up parts of the body that are constricted or numb, leading us to literally feel more ‘whole’. It switches on our “social engagement system” (ventral vagus nerve), which leads to less social anxiety and better relationships. Added bonus: this relaxed state is the ideal state for learning and creativity to occur!”
Outside of the WOW Clinic, Katherine writes children’s books, and enjoys HIT training, weight training, yoga, qigong, dancing and hiking.
