Hypnotherapy
Kate Delaney-Cook
Kate has a Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills and specialises in Clinical Hypnotherapy. She offers a friendly and professional environment for clients to resolve a range of issues from weight loss to smoking, phobias to self- confidence. By using the best available techniques therapy is focused at the root of the problem so old habits, behaviours and fears can be changed for good. Most issues can be resolved in several sessions and a free initial phone consultation is offered to discuss whether hypnotherapy would be suitable.
Kate is passionate about the work she does and believes that hypnotherapy has tremendous scope in the medical world. “I think we are only scraping the surface in terms of what hypnotherapy can do. The scope for this drug-free, non-invasive therapy is huge”
Previously Kate was an academic at The University of Southampton. Her doctorate was in Environmental Science and much of her research was based in Latin America and Africa. She decided to change career after a health issue sparked an interest in the healing power of the mind.
Kate uses a range of techniques in her practice as well as hypnotherapy and tailors them to the individual needs of the client. She holds a diploma in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and is a qualified practitioner of EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique).
Kate is a member of the National Hypnotherapy Society and the British Society for Clinical Hypnosis and adheres to their strict code of ethics. She is also listed on the Accredited Voluntary Register (which is regulated by the Professional Standards Authority). Kate is fully insured and respects client confidentiality at all times.
